I am interested in the environmental controls on algal community structure and the role of microbial biofilms in ecosystem processes.

Meghan Beery

Masters student
Meghan is joining the lab in August and will be evaluating interactions between toxic algae blooms and microbial-mediated decomposition in coastal wetland environments. Meghan completed her B.S. in the School of Environment and Natural Resources at OSU with a specialization in ecosystem restoration, as well as a B.A. in Journalism, and a minor in French. 

Mousumi Das

Ph.D. Student
Mousumi joined the lab as an OSU distinguished fellow and is exploring temperature controls on wetland decomposition.

Kate Zaparaniuk

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Kate is an honors student evaluating the prevalence of different microcystin variants associated with toxic cyanobacteria blooms in Lake Erie.
